Securing a graduate role with Capgemini - Top tips from Daniel, a Bid Manager

Created on 19 Oct 2017

Daniel came to collect his complementary bottle of bubbly at the Bright Network Festival 2017, as he’s just started as a bid manager at Capgemini. It was a role that he found through a Bright Network email, and he was kind enough to share a few of his experiences on the application process.

Why did you choose a bid manager role at Capgemini?

Capgemini boasts great exposure to many different industry aspects and they offered a role in a prestigious client facing team on their biggest account.

What was the toughest part of the application process? And your favourite part?

The toughest part was completing the very specific and individual online questions. My favourite part was the interview as I got to meet members of the company.

Were you surprised by anything in the process?

I was surprised by the style of the interview. As a strength based interview it was more of discussion as opposed to a question and answer session.

What three top tips would you give your fellow Bright Network members?

Be tenacious, be commercially aware and remember that the interviewers are human too!

What's your lucky charm or pre-interview ritual?

Making sure you look the part.
