What people say about this event
An empowering and fundamentally vital event for people of all backgrounds and race. I was reminded that companies are consciously aware of the barriers which those from BAME backgrounds may face, and that they do choose to implement strategies to minimise these barriers. The event spoke to issues which I believe are not emphasised within educational institutions as much as they should be. Thank you to Bright Network for providing me with further insight into how companies implement diversity and inclusion.
This was my first event and I had a great time. Everything ran to perfection. Guests and companies provided great insights into their fields and really helped me to better understand what I want to do in the future.
This event has given me the opportunity to connect with many organisations, learn more about their internal environment and culture, and ultimately has developed my competitive advantage as a future applicant for internship, placement, and graduate schemes.
I am so glad I applied to this event! It was such an amazing experience. I feel like I have walked away with a lot more confidence in what employers require from students and graduates. It was so inspiring to hear stories from so many different panellists about their career journeys. It was also great to be able to relate to the panellists which has motivated me to put myself out there a lot more and not be afraid to take risks.
